Rotator cuff repair has a 20–40% re-tear rate. Nutrition is one of the few modifiable factors.
Tendon-to-bone healing after rotator cuff repair is biologically slow and structurally fragile. The OVIAL Surgical Nutrition Kit was formulated to support tendon remodeling, manage inflammation without blunting healing, and preserve the muscle integrity that drives long-term outcomes.

Why nutrition matters specifically for rotator cuff repair.
Tendon-to-bone healing is collagen-limited.
Unlike muscle, tendon has limited vascularity and slow remodeling kinetics. The first 12 weeks determine whether your repair holds. Clinical-dose collagen peptides — taken before activity — directly support the healing interface.
NSAIDs work — but at a cost.
Chronic NSAID use during the first 6–8 weeks has been shown in animal and human data to impair tendon-to-bone healing. POST Capsules provide curcumin-based inflammation modulation through a different pathway.
Sling-driven muscle loss compounds re-tear risk.
4–6 weeks in a sling means measurable deltoid and rotator cuff atrophy. EAA + leucine and creatine — even before active PT begins — preserve muscle quality so the repair has a strong scaffold to recover into.
Three phases. One kit.
Anabolic Priming
Pre-load EAAs, creatine, and micronutrients to enter surgery anabolically primed. Enters the sling-immobilization phase with maximum muscle reserve.

Common rotator cuff questions.
Will this help if I'm in a sling and can't do active PT yet?
Yes — particularly the POST Powder. EAA + leucine and creatine work at the cellular level to preserve muscle protein synthesis even during immobilization. Patients who consume adequate EAAs during sling-time enter active PT with measurably more muscle reserve.
What about my surgeon's NSAID prescription?
Many shoulder surgeons prescribe a short NSAID course (5–10 days) for acute pain. This is generally fine. The clinical concern is chronic NSAID use across the 6–8 week tendon-to-bone healing window. POST Capsules provide a long-term inflammation modulator that complements rather than replaces short-course NSAIDs.
I had a massive cuff repair — does this still apply?
Massive and revision cuff repairs benefit even more from nutritional support, given the higher re-tear rates and longer healing windows. The Kit's protocol still applies — discuss extended dosing with your surgeon if your rehab timeline is longer than 6 months.
Can I take this with my blood pressure medication?
The Kit's ingredients have no known significant interactions with common antihypertensives. Always confirm with your surgeon and primary care physician — particularly if you're on multiple medications or have specific medical conditions.
