Spine surgery recovery is fusion-sensitive. NSAIDs aren't your only option.
Whether you've had a discectomy, laminectomy, or spinal fusion, your recovery depends on careful inflammation management without compromising bone healing. The OVIAL Surgical Nutrition Kit was formulated to support tissue repair, modulate inflammation through non-COX pathways, and preserve the muscle integrity that drives functional return.

Why nutrition matters specifically for spine surgery.
NSAIDs and fusion don't mix.
Chronic NSAID use during the first 6 months can compromise spinal fusion success — well-documented in the orthopedic literature (Glassman et al., Park et al.). POST Capsules use curcumin and Vit D3/K2 to modulate inflammation through non-COX pathways, without the bone-healing penalty.
Bracing-driven atrophy compounds recovery.
Many spine patients are in a brace and movement-restricted for 6–12 weeks. Paraspinal and core muscle loss during this window directly impacts long-term spine stability. EAA + leucine and creatine preserve muscle even during reduced activity.
Bone graft remodeling needs micronutrient support.
Vit D3, K2, and magnesium glycinate directly support osteoblast function and bone matrix mineralization. Fusion biology depends on these nutrients — many spine patients arrive deficient.
Three phases. One kit.
Anabolic Priming
Pre-load EAAs, creatine, and the bone-supporting micronutrients fusion biology depends on. Critical for spine patients — most arrive with measurable Vit D3 deficiency.

Common spine questions.
I had a single-level fusion vs. multi-level — does protocol differ?
The biology is the same — both depend on bone graft osseointegration over 6 months. Multi-level fusions tend to have longer recovery arcs and may benefit from extended Capsule dosing. Discuss specific timeline with your surgeon.
My surgeon prescribed gabapentin — any interactions?
Gabapentin and pregabalin are commonly prescribed post-spine surgery and have no known significant interactions with the Kit's ingredients. Always confirm with your surgeon and pharmacist, particularly if you're on multiple medications.
Will this help with post-op nerve pain?
POST Capsules' magnesium glycinate has well-documented effects on nerve function and may help with sleep and muscle relaxation. The Kit isn't a primary treatment for radicular pain — that's what your surgeon's medication regimen is for. The Kit supports the underlying healing biology.
I'm worried about constipation from opioids — will the Kit help or hurt?
Magnesium glycinate has gentle bowel-regulating effects and is well-tolerated. POST Powder's whey isolate base is also generally easier on the GI system than typical concentrated supplements. Most patients find the Kit complements their post-op GI management rather than complicating it.
